What is NIOS? -The National Institute of Open Schooling, formerly National Open School is a national level board of education in India, controlled and managed by the Government of India. SSLC (Secondary Course)
Duration: 6 Months
criteria for admission: Minimum age 14 years
Requirement for application: Adhar Card, School certificate, Passport size photo and signature
Subjects: need to choose minimum 5 subjects
The curriculum consists of subjects, including multiple languages. Each student is allowed to choose 5 subjects, with 2 languages being mandatory and the other 3 subjects being optional.
The exams for these three subjects can be taken in either English or Malayalam.
Plus Two (Senior Secondary Course)
Duration: 6 Months
criteria for admission: Minimum age 17 years
Courses Provided: Science, Commerce & Humanities
Requirement for application: Adhar Card, School certificate, Passport size photo and signature
In Plus Two examination students will have the option to choose two languages. With the exception of science subjects, the main exam can be taken in either Malayalam or English.Upon successful completion of the additional two courses, students are eligible for engineering, medical, IT, and other professional courses.
